Although the Gumball 3000 group is a family of businesses with a shared brand, all of the companies run independently. Often the companies are set up as joint ventures with other partners, so whilst Maximillion and Julie hold the steering wheel as Founder and President, and Vice President of the group, they all have different shareholders and boards.

The power of the Gumball 3000 name, combined with Maximillion and Julie’s personal reputation, and our unrivalled network of friends, contacts and partners, has shaped Gumballs very unique business model and management style; and the way talent is empowered to flourish within the group are all contributing factors to making it a success.

We are also able to draw on talented people from throughout the group. New ventures are often steered by people seconded from other parts of Gumball, who bring with them the trademark management style, skills and experience. Gumball 3000 Limited is the management and rights owning company of the Gumball brand and Group. Its strategy is focused on developing multiple companies using the Gumball 3000 name to build recognition and loyalty that spans youth culture to luxury lifestyle markets. By targeting the entertainment and media industries, the Group has developed companies that combine fashion, film, art, music and sport to create a Global ‘lifestyle’ brand of the future.

 

Established 2002

Gumball 3000 Licensing is focused to strategically associate and integrate the Gumball 3000 name and logo with products and brands that will develop and build the Gumball 3000 brand throughout the world, and over the past 6 years has released licensed products with over 20 global brands such as Sony Playstation, K-Swiss, Top Trumps, Mattel Toys, DC Shoes, HTC Mobile, Birdhouse skateboards and adidas Originals.

Product examples include a multi-platform video game developed by SCi (Sales Curve Interactive) that reached the UK ‘Top 10’ in the video gaming charts in 2002; a limited edition release of 3000 numbered Technomarine diamond sports watches; a range of signature DC Shoes; and the hugely successful Gumball 3000 ‘Supercars’ edition of Top Trumps that featured on the cover of over 15 million Weetabix breakfast cereal boxes around the world in a 6 month promotion with The Simpson’s and Lord of the Rings.

Recent licenses include a series of adidas Originals ‘Gumball 3000’ designed driving shoes, to a custom mobile phone by HTC.

Established 2003

Gumball 3000 Films Limited produces commercials, music videos, feature films and documentaries, working with some of the most talented directors around. Early commissions from networks including the hugely successful MTV Jackass Gumball Special produced with Dickhouse Films (Jeff Tremaine, Johnny Knoxville & Spike Jonze), and the acclaimed BBC 'Ruby Wax Does the Gumball' documentary, led to establishing Gumball 3000 Films in 2003.

Later that year Gumball 3000 ‘The Movie’ was released by Universal Pictures to critical acclaim, premiering in London’s Odeon Leicester Square and at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, instantly led to commissions to direct and produce programming beyond that related to the rally. Recent productions have included a series for Channel 4 hosted by Danny Dyer and Tamer Hassan; Maximillion’s film directorial debut, '3000 Miles';

And most notably, producing Oscar nominated director Mike Figgis’ (Leaving Las Vegas) latest art house feature, ‘Love Live Long’; continuing to build Gumball 3000 Films reputation as an established cutting edge production company. Love Live Long premiered earlier this year at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, and at the Cannes Festival in the French Riviera.

 

Established 2003

Established in 2003 to produce the soundtrack to the film Gumball 3000 ‘The Movie’, featuring artists such as The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, U.N.K.L.E., Razorlight and Fat Boy Slim, Gumball 3000 Music has gone on to represent and release countless artists. Most recently working with Roxbury Music composers and producers Luke Gordon and Andrew Skeet to produce an original score for Max’s directorial debut movie ‘3000 Miles’. This project culminated with Andrew and Luke conducting a full orchestra performing the films original score live at the London premiere. Gumball 3000 Music’s strategy is to find, promote and release new unsigned talent, gaining them exposure through all media channels, including new media and in all Gumball 3000 Films productions.

The Gumball 3000 Apparel brand represents a lifestyle synonymous with style, adventure and creativity.

As a graduate of the prestigious Central St. Martins School of Art & Design (studying alongside contemporaries such as Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, Luella Bartley and Giles Deacon), and as an ex-Armani & Ralph Lauren model, style journalist and designer, it was no suprize that Maximillion decided to launch a clothing label. With increasing awareness of the brand, and logo based merchandise sales going through the roof in 2005, Gumball 3000 Apparel was incorporated. With initial investment from Icelandic retail giants, Baugur, Gumball 3000 Apparel set out to take on menswear giants such as Diesel, Abercrombie, Ralph Lauren and Fred Perry.

Maximillion heads up the design team as Creative Director, launching the first aspirational menswear collection in Fall/Winter 2007, inspired by a passion for automobiles and urban cultures. This first ‘high end’ casual wear collection was sold in only the ‘coolest, trend setting boutique stores’ across the world, building kudos and a reputation for luxury ‘auto couture’, alongside the continued demand for logo driven basics.

Now in its fourth season, and available in over 200 fashion stores worldwide, the demand to produce logo basics, as well as the desire to design luxury menswear, have split the label into two distinct ranges; a luxury “Cross Wrenches” menswear label, and a “Basics” Original logo collection. The “Basics” collection appeals to the ‘rally’ fan base and an urban ‘skate streetwear’ demographic, collaborating with other trend setting streetwear labels such as Stussy, Huf, Rogue Status and adidas Originals; whilst the high end luxury menswear range uses the Gumball 3000 ‘Cross Wrenches’ emblem, rich with automotive influences.

From the beginning Gumball 3000 Limited cut its teeth in the ‘events’ business hosting the annual Gumball 3000 Rally and its associated parties, combining the world’s love and obsession for automobiles, travel and celebrity culture. The event succeeded to bring together the most influential, powerful and famous people, driving the most amazing cars in an adventure that unites people and cultures, promoting friendship in the process.

After several successful years experience production managing the rally and its associated parties under the umbrella of Gumball 3000 Limited, in 2006 Gumball 3000 Events was established to offer its skills and experience to produce other events for private clients and corporations. Other events initially focused on entertainment within the high end and luxury market sector, including exclusive VIP parties, motor sports events and unique travel adventures; including everything from Snoop Dogg to Jamiroquai concerts, to treks across Antarctica; to racetrack days and beach parties in St Tropez.

We now organise over 50 events a year including everything from music concerts to film premieres and product launches, production managing all events within the Gumball 3000 Group, and for clients such as MTV, adidas Originals, Selfridges and Top Trumps.

Maximillion Cooper Limited was created in 2006 to manage all business affairs relating to Max that don’t directly involve Gumball 3000. Max has an increasing amount of requests to make appearances and perform speeches at events; and with increasing recognition of his art and design work, Max is regularly asked to design for other brands, both anonymously and for Maximillion Cooper signature lines. Over the past 2 years as well as performing the role of Creative Director for Gumball 3000 menswear, Max has been commissioned to design adidas Originals shoes, skateboard deck artwork, as well as speaking at the Oxford University Union and at numerous business conferences.

As the Groups most recent addition, Gumball 3000 Creative was launched in 2008, following the organic growth of creative and technical design work required within the group. It is currently one of the youngest and fastest growing full service design and advertising agencies, having already secured key clients all over the world. Having brought together an incredibly talented team of young designers, artists, illustrators, writers and creative thinkers, Gumball 3000 Creative not only meets the demands of traditional design and advertising, but it is pushing the boundaries of creativity into the future with digital, direct and online campaigns for clients such as adidas, Co-Pilot, Top Trumps, MSN and Intel.
