Many people have shown an interest in being part of Gumball 3000's growth. For the last three years Gumball 3000 has divided into many companies each of which cover everything from a clothing label to film production. Because of this we are always looking diverse and ambitious talent from every type of background. However with the Gumball rally being such a large international event we need to employ individuals that enjoy heavy responsibility and thrive on taking chances and testing new ideas.

Our business has an impact on the environment through the energy and natural resources we use and the waste we generate. We are committed to reducing these impacts. This benefits our business by increasing efficiency and reducing costs.
Working closely with alternative energy activist, Karta Healy, the 2003 rally was the first motoring event showcase and actually demonstrate the successful use of a vehicle using an alternative fuel. Karta participated in a Peterbilt Semi-Truck using only a vegetable oil waste product as fuel. In 2005, actress and environmentalist Daryl Hannah and snowboarding legend Tina Basich also participated in the rally using only 100% bio-diesel.
Interestingly, at the time neither media nor the general public seemed to care about or have any environment saving awareness; however, these first steps towards highlighting the need for green vehicles undoubtedly contributed to today’s global public consciousness. The rally has since become a ‘cool’ platform for automotive manufacturers to showcase their environmentally friendly vehicles of the future, and in 2007 Saab entered a 9-5 Bio-Power Estate, and Reva showcased their electric battery powered G-Wiz micro vehicles.
We are pioneering in the showcase of vehicles using alternative fuels and aim to reduce energy use, CO2 emissions and waste and to increase recycling. We have purchased a wind farm to make the company and events carbon neutral.

Following road traffic accident on the 2007 rally Gumball has taken giant steps forward to work closely and actively with the Governments, authorities and transport police of all countries that the event travels through on a mission to promote road safety. The accident had occurred on terrible road conditions, in a country that has little road safety awareness or general safety standards that most western developed countries are used to. The realisation that road accidents happen every day around the world due to insufficient safety standards, safety awareness and poor road conditions alerted Gumball to use its positioning as a voice of youth and car culture to become an active promoter of ‘Safer Roads’ for the United Nations World Health Organisation (W.H.O.).
With global media coverage and a network of participants that reads like a who’s who of Hollywood and the Fortune 500, it is our aim to use these relationships to proactively campaign for road safety, especially in developing countries to a youth audience.
