Arriving in Istanbul only to find out that the Polizei M5 was diverted to Athens, Herr Roy or Master Piloten Michael Ross came up with a creative solution. Today, as most of the Gumballers made it onto another plane to fly to Athens to retrieve their lawnmowers, Team Polizei got their hands on a VW Sharan rental! Continuing in the Gumball spirit, Team Polizei along with newly deputized Polizei members Jarod Deanda and Andy "Fly" Tipping, drove to Athens. The only other team that drove to Athens was Team Turkish Taxi who started their rally today from Istanbul.

Team Polizei has joined forced with Jarod DeAnda and Andrew ‘Fly’ Tipping to drive from Istanbul to Athens. Herr Roy has made it very clear that air travel is out dated and has decided to drive to Athens instead of wait for the Gumball plane in Istanbul, which still has yet to arrive. Team Turkish Taxi is also driving to Athens, following several miles behind. Being that Team Polizei is not in the Polizei M5, rather in a VW Sharon, track their progress using Tracker ID "Team 15".

Lead cars have been stopped and seized in Germany just 60 miles north of Hahn Airport. In better news: Team Polizei makes it first to the German Autobahn Police Checkpoint! Report is that the German Police are holding onto the cars until noon tomorrow, after the planes leave Hahn for Istanbul.

Alex and Michael successfully made it to the Amsterdam checkpoint, taking several alternative routes and "long-cuts" through Belgium to avoid troubles with the local law enforcement. Their attempts fell short though after a motorcycle unit pulled the team over and slapped them with a 120 euro fine. The good news though was that the Team got some nice photos with the gracious officers! It was a lonely drive into Amsterdam for the Polizei M5, and it will be an even lonelier one leaving the city. Michael Ross reported that at their departure, there still were no other Gumballers who had arrived. Onward to Deutschland; the M5 can finally stretch her legs on her native Autobahn!

Team Polizei has made it across the channel and now are leading the way to Amsterdam. Herr Ross and Roy have decided to take an alternative route, which they hope will be safer and faster. Belgium Police on motorcycles just pulled the team over, resulting in a 120euro fine and many pictures taken with the Police officers.

Team Polizei has successfully made it to the Chunnel in first place despite departing the London grid in 10th position. Team Polizei took the lead with Team Xzibit for most of the journey until Xzibit, driving a Lamborghini Gallardo, was pulled over while Herr Roy and Master Piloten Ross were free to continue. Team Polizei will now take a short break while on the train to France, where they are sure to face the opposition of the French Police!

Team Polizei's friend, Marc Guillout, has brought to our attention a situation regarding a fellow Police Officer of the London Metropolitan Police Department. PC Daniel Coffill was severely injured after a brutal attack over a year ago which requires him to have constant medical assistance. Team Polizei is joining the efforts to raise money for Dan Coffill's medical care and we would like to ask our fan's to do the same. Team Polizei, currently in London preparing for the 2007 Gumball3000, officially announces their intentions to set a land speed record, London – Istanbul. Instead of flying with the rest of the Gumball participants from Frankfurt to Istanbul, Alex Roy and Master Piloten Michael Ross intend on driving throughout the night to make it to Istanbul before the party ends at the Kempinski Ciragan Palace . More information to come along with another announcement tomorrow regarding the status of the Polizei M5.
