In only its second year the rally attracts several entrants from the music industry, with Goldie and Cass from Skunk Anansie taking part in an Aston Martin V8, along with Placebo in an Aston Martin Lagonda, The Happy Mondays in a Jag and soul diva Kym Mazelle being chauffeur driven in a BMW. The flag dropped at Marble Arch, and drivers are directed to Stansted Airport, where two Russian Cargo planes airlift everyone to a private airport in Spain. From here the drivers headed through Cannes and on to Milan before heading north to Hamburg and back to London.
