Gumball 3000 team Ultimate fighter Lee Shone plans to fight his first Gumball boxing match on March 17th for Glenn McCrory's St Patrick's Day show. Lee 'Cyclone' Shone has been signed with Gumball 3000 for a few months now. He started training in martial arts when he was 8 years old, taking up Karate under his Dads tutoring.
After being stabbed during a street fight aged just 21 he decided to take his talents seriously and pursued a career as a professional fighter. In 2001 he sold all his belongings and flew over to the states with £150 in his pocket. By 2002 he had become a member of Frank Shamrocks elite fight team called "Team Shamrock."
He was the only non-American to ever pass Shamrocks world famous "Shamrock Team Tryout." A vigorous two hour training session which included full contact fighting with fresh opponents. Due to his involvement with Team Shamrock he quickly began to get requests to fight back home and returned to the UK to take his first professional against a Multiple UK No Rules champion and ended up forcing him to submission in just over a minute.
His current fighting record is 13 wins, 1 loss and 0 draws. He has trained all over the world with some of the best fighters out there including Duane Ludwig, Nate Marquardt and Christian Allen. Hoping to make some waves in his first boxing fight, Lee has been training hard with coach Alberto, reducing his weight and dieting to his strength and conditioning coach Kerry Kayes instructions.
